Suspect wanted in the robbery of a TD Bank branch

The FBI is asking for help in identifying a bank robber who struck the TD Bank branch in the city's Fairhill section today.

 

Shortly before 1 p.m., the man  entered the branch at 217 West Lehigh Avenue and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an amount of cash, the he fled north on American Street.

The robber, who is considered armed and dangerous,  is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s,  about 6-feet tall, approximately 200 pounds with a heavy build, bald or shaven head, with a closely cropped mustache and beard. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a black or dark heavy hooded sweatshirt with a grey lining and blue jeans.

 

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
