The most common problem -- 28 of the 76 complaints received -- is active campaigning at the polling places, the Committee of 70 says its volunteers report as of 1:45 p.m.
The committee received at least two reports from volunteers that supporters of DA candidate Dan McCaffery are handing out literature inside the polling place.
As in some prior elections, there is some confusion among voters registered as non-partisans: They can vote only on ballot questions.

I went to my polling place and before I could get to the door, I was cut-off by a twenty something wearing an electricians union shirt and telling me to support Dan McCaffery. He said I could have a shirt for the support. I the went around my neighborhood and found electricians union employees at every polling place, doing the same thing. They must be desperate to ensure that John Dougherty is not investigated by the DAs office next year. Twp of the polling places had police cars parked in front of them. Democracy at its best. mikeyg
