Toy gun led to lockdown scare at Princeton

Inquirer staff report:

Four boys who found a toy gun triggered a  half-hour lock down at Princeton University this morning.

Officials say the  four juveniles found the green plastic toy gun while going through items students discarded when they moved out of their dorms recently. Princeton held its commencement yesterday.

A witness who saw one of the boys stick the toy  in his waistband thought it was real and notified authorities.

The toy gun was found at a nearby Wawa and the youths told police they did not know they had caused an alarm.
