justacarpenter - 3 plus GAA. Only 24th in the league! I think he's an all star! LOL!! He's my HERO!!

The team is not playing well, but he is not the MVP. 2.79 GAA with a .90 goals against. 0% save percentage on breakaways and penalty shots. Not good, not even close to what it should be for what they are paying him. He is part of the problem but he not the sole reason they are struggling. I hope they swallow their pride and buy him out after this season. He has been average and is only going to get older and slower over the next SEVEN years. You can get the same production out of a journeyman. Sidewinder7
If Bryz is the MVP that shows you how far this team has fallen..24th in league in GAA....27 in save %. he would be the backup goalie on 75% of the teams in the NHL....Good news is only 29 more games to go till the end of the BRYZASTER. What a terrible franchise killing deal flyers1000
If you are paying someone to be a franchise goalie, they need to steal games for you. If Bryz stops the two breakaways last night, its a completely different games.
Clearly other factors were at play on those two goals -- the horrible call on Timonen (2 minute penalty...yes, PS? NO way.) and then the turnover in the neutral zone. But that's why you pay someone that kind of money to stop those shots.
Bryz has been above average. The team has been below average in a lot of areas. The record reflects the aforementioned. sobjoe24
I know the headline is to bring out the Bryz haters but don't even kid around. Bryz is a backup goalie tops. He should not be 1st string goalie anywhere. Maybe play a defensive system and limit shots and he'll look better but you'll never win the cup that way. The Flyers have 3 terrible goalies, it's that simple. neddyflanders
I've never seen such a good game goalie so bad on breakaways....I don't understand it. With that said, he's for sure the mvp thus far...tought time to write this article but nonetheless true philly thug
Its Bryzgalovs fault in that this team was 'built' around him. Or dismantled for his contract, more accurately. Giroux may be wearing the C, but Holmgren handed the keys of this franchise to the goalie. no_shootouts- Cap and money aside, I would make both trades again. Giving up Richards and Carter for Vorace, Simmonds Schenn and Couturier, all younger players was a good deal. The Kings had barely made the playoffs and only did due to amazing goaltending which took them all the way. This year Richards and Carter combined have one more point then Voracek.

I love lavy as a coach but this is NOT working. We do have defense, we don't have offense, and we don't have a premier goalie. I never saw a game when Brzy stole the game 1-0!

MVP on this team? Really? Even the ice girls are inconsistant...lol....no MVP here... Phillyfan666
Bryz will be gone next year. Does that answer your stupid question? Stephen45
I'm getting a bit sick of hearing how great a season Bryz is having. I would say he's been ALRIGHT. Every game it seems the announcers are going out of their way to tell us how you can't blame Bryz. Why not. As others have said when was the last time he ever stole a game for the Flyers. He's been solid in a few games, but also terrible in a number of others like against NJ,Toronto,Pitts, FLA. Considering how much money he makes, I'm sorry I still expect more. They better take advantage of the buyout. And they better upgrade the backup position too. Boucher and Leighton...its enough already. FlyerAdam30
