The Flyers left the Wells Fargo Center Thursday night after a jaw-dropping 9-8 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov said he is to blame for the loss. Frank Seravalli of the Daily News reports.

Ugh, I agree with the previous comments... Frank needs to stop trying to be a sports broadcaster and stick to what he does marginally well, writing editorial length comments. On a side note, I'm pulling for Bryz... when's the last time you saw a guy take it on the chin and then own up to it? He's like the anti Andy Reid. I'll be the first to admit that watching this team is depressing right now and I really had high hopes for them, but still, I'd rather hear honesty than excuses. Lastly, I don't ever want to hear Frank say he's 'signing off' from anything unless he decides to sign off from contributing to philly.com.

After the past few games he should have little confidence, but, as with last Spring, the absence of Chris Pronger is of not help to him.

I want this website on paper so I can read it. Oh, wait...
Bob gave up 5 on 15 and Bryz 4 on 10. In these cases, it's hard to make the case that this is 100% "the goalie's fault." Goalies are both made better by and exposed by their defense.
Both goalies need to play better and the defense needs to be better in front of them - forwards and d-men.

What a disappointment to click on this link and have it be just a video. Is this why newspapers have lost their charm? I could go to any number of websites with videos; from companies who specialize in making them. Did we lose faith in writing?

let's be absolutely honest here: of the 9 goals, only about 2 were bad. and one was bad for each of them. the rest were, essentially, layups. the defense was pathetic and it let forward run wild in the slot all night long.

Note to Bryz & Bob - I've noticed that most goalies in the NHL play with their eyes open. Might want to give that a try........

Too many new players...plus who knows how many rookie forwards on any given night....jellin' will take months. So sit back and enjoy Coatsie's Corner, may be a long roller coaster year.
