Powe gets 3-year deal with Wild
Former Flyer Darroll Powe has signed a 3-year, $3.2 million deal with the Minnesota Wild, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting.
Powe could have filed for arbitration today, but instead signed a multiyear deal to buy out the first 2 years of unrestricted free agency.
Powe was traded last week for a 2013 third-round draft pick in a move to clear salary cap space before free agency began.
The Princeton University product led the Flyers in hits and was a strong penalty killer.

We got a better player in Nodl for less.
No idea why Powe is a great penalty killer. Nothing great about Powe with exception of hard work. Replaceable player. Good luck to him! Nitroglycerin
I will not miss hearing 'The Princeton grad' every single time his name is mentioned during a game or other media. dingo8baby
The Flyers have an entire roster of players like Powe. What they don't have is top notch talent. But just think of all the $$ Mr Snyder and Mr Luukko will save on red bulbs that go in the light behind the goal. One red light bulb will last the entire season! scootch
