New place, new face

An introduction to the new Daily News Flyers blog by Frank Seravalli.

New place, new face

Welcome to Frequent Flyers! We have been hard at work over the last few days to get this new blog up and running and look forward to becoming your go-to spot for everything Flyers.

As the new Flyers beat writer for the Daily News, I am excited to bring a different approach to blogging. Not every post is going to be a long and winded story. We all have lives and we are all busy. As such, I think you should be able to come here and get a quick fix or nugget that keeps you in the loop with your favorite team.

Not every post needs to be serious or newsworthy. I’d like to bring you into the locker room with me and let you hear and see some of the things that you don’t get to experience. You may see a funny quote, an interesting travel tidbit or a personal look into your favorite player’s life off the ice.

But that doesn’t mean you won’t be reading about an injury, line matchups, game scenarios or trade scuttlebutt. You will get it all, right here.

I also want to hear from you. What questions would you like to have answered? What would you like to see happen? What rumors are you hearing? I will try to get on and chat as much as possible but your e-mails are always welcome.

The season is long – and filled with big expectations. Buckle up. It’s going to be a fun ride.

Check back here on Saturday morning for an analysis of the roster from the first two preseason games. We’ll look at the good, the bad, and the ugly.

In the meantime, check out my Twitter feed at
