Wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan had a surprise message for Flyers fans in the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday afternoon.
But the Flyers kept the message hidden until the game was well in-hand with four minutes left in the third period.
Hogan then appeared on the big screen to deliver a playoff message:
"Hey Flyer fans! This is the real Hulk Hogan," Hogan said. "I know you’ve been saying your prayers and eating your vitamins, but I’ve got one thing to say: ‘Whatcha gonna do when Flyers mania runs wild on you?!?!’"
Hogan’s virtual appearance, in which he ripped off a Flyers shirt, received a huge ovation from the 20,092 jammed into the building.
The fascination with Hogan began with a look-alike, Penguins fan Cy Clark, was dancing around Scott Hartnell behind the Flyers’ bench on April 1.
Hartnell gave Corbin the trademark “I can’t hear you” signal - only adding to the fanatical on-ice rivalry.
The image captured of Hartnell mocking Corbin was featured on the back page of April 2nd’s Philadelphia Daily News.
Apparently, though, Hogan already did a similar promotional appearance for the Penguins to promote “Malkamania” in honor Evgeni Malkin.
Here’s Hogan’s message on Sunday:

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! riles1875
Hahahaha I love it...playoff hockey is so great! Oak46- Haha I heard this during the penalty break. Pretty amazing!
Why are we giving this guy any attention? I wouldn't want to associate with him after that whole incident with his son, and he blamed his son's friends family. scars73
Hooray for marketing! Taking the uniqueness out of Philly! Woo-hoo! Edward Creed
Lame. jimmymack
Have to agree with most of the posts on here. Hartnell in the moment was good enough and fun. Paying someone whom is a Tampa native for a 30 second clip is lame. I'm sure real fans remember him and his daughter being Tampa super-fans during the flyers v lightning back in 04. Besides didn't he do a similar promo for the Pens for the Malkinmania stuff? sw-sportsfan
