Former Flyers forward Peter Forsberg is mulling a comeback with the Colorado Avalanche, and will skate with the team Saturday morning.
Forsberg, 38, has not skated in an NHL game since 2008 because of foot problems.
"I need to see where I am physically and practicing with NHL players is the best way to find that out," Forsberg said in a statement released by the team.
He has not signed a contract with the team. According to the Denver Post, Forsberg's agent, Don Baizley, called the Avalanche earlier this week to see if they would be amenable to Forsberg taking part in practices.
