Flyers recall goalie from Phantoms

In light of Michael Leighton's high ankle sprain suffered last night against Nashville, the Flyers have recalled goalie Jeremy Duschesne from Adirondack, of the AHL, on an emergency basis.

Duschesne will be available to play tomorrow night when the Flyers visit Dallas.

Duchesne, 23, has appeared in two games with Adirondack this season, posting a 1-1-0 record with a 1.02 goals-against average and .981 save percentage. This is the first time he has been recalled to the National Hockey League.

In addition to his time with the Phantoms, Duchesne has appeared in 19 games with the Flyers' ECHL affiliate, the Kalamazoo Wings, posting a 9-4-3-2 record with one shutout, a 3.20 GAA and .904 save percentage.

Leighton is scheduled for an MRI exam today. The Flyers have not offered a definitive prognosis yet, but high ankle sprains often take several weeks.
