Flyers re-sign Coburn

The Flyers have agreed to a two-year contract extension with restricted free agent defenseman Braydon Coburn.

Coburn, 25, has signed a two-year deal worth a total of $6.4 million.

That's a significant raise from the $1.3 million he earned last season with the Flyers.

Here are the Flyers' defensemen under NHL contract for next season:

Chris Pronger
Kimmo Timonen
Matt Carle
Braydon Coburn
Andrej Meszaros (acquired today from Tampa Bay)
Oskars Bartulis

With Coburn's extension and Meszaros' $4 million cap hit, the Flyers have approximately $3.2 million remaining on the $59.4 million cap but still need to re-sign restricted free agent forwards Darroll Powe and Dan Carcillo.
