Flyers invite veteran Mair to training camp

The Flyers have invited winger Adam Mair to training camp, the team said.

Whether he accepts the invitation remains to be determined.

"We do not officially know and will not comment on it until then," general manager Paul Holmgren said.

Mair, 32, spent last season with the Devils with a goal and three assists and 45 penalty minutes in 65 games. He was with Buffalo for the previous seven seasons. He also has spent time with the LA Kings and Toronto.

For his career, he has 38 goals and 76 assists in 615 games, where he has mostly been used as a defensive center.

Veteran players are scheduled to report Saturday.
