Clarke, Barber honorary AHL star captains

Bob Clarke and Bill Barber will be honorary captains for the American Hockey League All-Star Classic, to be held Jan. 29-30 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Bob Clarke and Bill Barber will be honorary captains for the American Hockey League All-Star Classic, to be held Jan. 29-30 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Clarke was the general manager of the AHL's Phantoms in 1998 and 2005, when the Phantoms won the Calder Cup.

Barber, who began his career with the AHL Richmond Robins in 1972, was the coach of the Phantoms in 1998.

The AHL All-Star skills competition will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 29 and the all-star game will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30.
