Did the NHL make the right call in suspending Danny Briere?
Yes
No

Flyers forward Danny Briere has been suspended two games by the NHL for his hit on the Colorado Avalanche defenseman Scott Hannan on Monday night in Denver.

Hannan left the game after the second-period hit and did not return. He was diagnosed with a neck injury.

"I respect the decision," Briere said. "I'll live with it, and try to move on after the two-game suspension."

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said: "We were informed that Danny Briere was suspended two games by the NHL for his hit last night on Scott Hannan. It’s obviously disappointing to not have Danny in the lineup for the next few games, but it’s a decision that the league has come down with and we’ll live with it. We look forward to having Danny back in the lineup in two games."

oh to be a Ranger fan in Philly. At least you're no Yankee fan, van impe, and I'm betting you live in your mother's basement, scouring the web for other teams sites to talk smack on b/c the Rangers and NY Daily News have probably disowned you as a loser who they don't want to be grouped in with.

Flyers-Losers for 35 years is a guy with great hockey knowledge he said Betts is garbage and a waste of space when he was first signed! I guess faceoffs and Penalty kill arent great qualities in a 3rd or 4th line player.

So i guess that 8-0 record with betts to start the season doesn't mean anything. Or the fact that he wins faceoffs and blocks shots. Some people are so ignorant to what hockey really is and the little things that matter. How does Briere get suspended for a hit.

Are you kidding me!!!! Two games for that hit, has the NHL completely lost their minds???Ruutu got three games for almost killing Darcy Tucker and we are supposed to believe that this is equal that??? Briere did not even get a penalty for knocking that little dainty flower down.
