Daily News
Each week, we'll catch up with one of the Flyers to get a rapid-fire glimpse at their life away from the rink.
5 minutes with... Flyers goaltender Brian Boucher:
Family: Wife, son (7) and daughter (6)
Offseason residence: Smithfield, Rhode Island
First car: 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity Eurosport. Grey. It had no front bumper or grille. Bought it for $1500 with a card signing that I did when I was 17.
Favorite opponent: Boston Bruins
Favorite road city: New York
Favorite food indulgence: Pizza
Best thing about playing in Philly: The fans
Best dressed teammate: Mike Richards
Worst dressed teammate: Ville Leino
Team prankster: Scott Hartnell
Pre-game routine: I go for lunch and then when I get home from lunch, I take a two-hour nap and then I leave for the rink at 3:45. I usually eat chicken, pasta and broccoli rabe. After the team meeting at 5:20, I do a little bit of a bike ride and then do my stretching routine, which takes me right to the 38-minute mark, which is when I start getting dressed and then I go out for warm-up.
Superstitious: Nope.
Worst part about being a goalie: Being blamed for a loss.
