Iron Hill is a big winner at World Beer Cup

Media's brewer, Andrew Johnston, was a one-man wrecking crew.

Iron Hill Brewery was a big winner Friday at the 2016 World Beer Cup, held in Philadelphia as part of the Craft Brewers Conference.

Brewer Andrew Johnston was a one-man wrecking crew. Working out of his home location, the IH in Media, he won silver for Solzhenitsyn in the Aged Beer category and silver for Russian Imperial Stout in the British-Style Imperial Stout category. Out of the Wilmington location, he got silver for Valentinus IPA among the Double Red Ale class.

Chris Endrikat of the IH West Chester location won silver for Overload Stout, in the Coffee Beer category, and Justin Rodgers of IH in Lancaster won gold for Bedotter in the Belgian-Style Tripel class.

Also of note: Stoudts of Adamstown won gold for Maibock (German-Style Bock or Maibock) and lookee here: Conshohocken Brewing Co. won silver for Puddlers Row ESB (Classic English-Style Pale Ale).
