Writer Leo Benedictus has survived what he describes as a "potentially poisonous banquet," which included pufferfish, kluwak nut pasta and the hottest chilli in the world.
"It didn't kill me, but it didn't taste that great either," he writes in The Guardian.
His meal in London was set up by Remember a Charity, which hopes to encourage people to think about their deaths, and leave money to good causes.
Oh, and the fugu - or pufferfish - whose toxins (if prepared incorrectly) can kill you in as little as 17 minutes? "Like eating sections of a condom, would be my description."
