The culinary underbelly of Gettysburg(?!)

The Town Dish went west to central Pennsylvania to check out the 154 Supper Club, an underground BYOB set up in a chef's house in Gettysburg, which has a quiet but growing food scene.

Josh Fidler of the town’s Garryowen Irish Pub runs the private dinners two nights a week, inviting guest chefs to help out.

On the night of the Town Dishers' visit, the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel's Sam Strock was joined at the stove by the husband-and-wife team iof Shaun and Jess Wolf. Shaun worked on the opening teams at Philly's Zahav and Osteria, and Jess is a pastry chef who recently completed a San Francisco stint under Top Chef Masters’ winner Chris Cosentino.
