Restaurateur David Cunicelli was picking up apple cider doughnuts at Linvilla Orchards while craving a burger.
His mind raced. A burger built on a doughnut!
What to top the burger with? Some sweet and savory: Granny Smith apples, house-cured bacon, Cheddar cheese and caramel sauce.
The Sugar Burger ($8.95) is now on the menu of 320 Market Café in Swarthmore, which Cunicelli owns with his brother Jack.
It's available through the summer from noon to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
