Sushi masters Matt and Jesse Ito to guest-chef at Laurel
They're doing a one-nighter in advance of their opening of Royal Izakaya.
Laurel - the East Passyunk BYOB owned and operated by Top Chef Nicholas Elmi - will open its kitchen for the first time to guest chefs.
Jesse and Masaharu (Matt) Ito, formerly of Fuji in Haddonfield, are doing a one-night appearance - April 10 - as a prelude to Royal Izakaya (782 S Second St.), which they'll open later this spring with Stephen Simons and Dave Frank.
The seven- to 10-course omakase will cost $120 per person. Laurel will bring in beers, sakes, and wines to pair.
Reservation book will open Tuesday, March 22 at noon.
