Super Bowl dip disaster: A shortage of Velveeta

"It is possible consumers in any part of the country may not be able to find some Velveeta products on store shelves over the next couple of weeks," Kraft spokeswoman Jody Moore told NBC News, citing "a combination of factors" and "higher demand" for the supply chain issues.

Kraft is warning of a Velveeta shortage as America leads up to the Super Bowl.

"It is possible consumers in any part of the country may not be able to find some Velveeta products on store shelves over the next couple of weeks," Kraft spokeswoman Jody Moore told NBC News, citing "a combination of factors" and "higher demand" for the supply chain issues.

Well, duh.

It's like saying there is likely to be a wing shortage this time of year.

The processed-cheese product is a popular base for dips.

Kraft took to Tumblr to offer an apology and to insist it was not a publicity stunt.
