Shake Shack plans food cart takeover at Garage in South Philly

Shake Shack will make its way down to South Philadelphia this week to take over food duty at Garage for one night only.

Shake Shack will make its way down to South Philadelphia this week to take over food duty at Garage for one night only.

The Shake Shack crew will man Garage's food cart on Wednesday, April 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. And it won't be any old eats they'll be slinging — this time's special.

Dubbed the "Super Fry Frickle Dog," Shake Shack's special hot dog presentation has been served only once before in Philadelphia at Feastival several years ago. But with ingredients like ShackMeister Ale-marinated shallots, fried Thai basical jalepeño pickles, and American cheese sauce, it could be well worth the wait.

Also on Wednesday's menu: Various Brooklyn Brewery beers — including their new American Ale — and $2 beer nut concretes for dessert.

All proceeds from Shake Shack's Garage pop-up will go toward benefitting Schuylkill Banks, which is the charity partner for the University City Shake Shack.
