This year's judges panel, meanwhile, consists of food and beer professionals, plus City Councilman Mark Squilla. Rounding out the panel will be Kensington Quarters' Brian Mayer, Slyfox Brewmaster Brian O'Reilly, and director of Drexel's Culinary Arts and Food Science program at Drexel, Jonathan Deutsch.

The judges will only be scoring finalists for the actual Vendy Cup award itself — the People's Choice, Rookie of the Year, and Best Dessert awards will come via attendees' votes.

This year's competition goes down Saturday, June 13 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the John F. Kennedy Bridge. Tickets are on sale now, and run $65 for general admission — a price that includes judging rights, an unlimited number of trips to the event's food trucks, access to SlyFox's planned craft beer bar, and wine from Santa Cristina. At the door, tickets will cost $70, cash only.

Proceeds from the Vendy Awards will go toward benefiting the Urban Justice Center's Street Vendor Project, which works to promote the rights of street vendors everywhere.
