Back in February, Camden County Technical Schools instructor Timothy Witcher appeared on Food Network's Chopped for a redemption episode, and ended up taking home the win. Now, he's bringing his skills to a local benefit for up-and-coming restaurateurs.

The Enterprise Center will host Witcher for a cooking demo at their Eats for Equity benefit, which takes place Thursday, May 12 beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets for the event run between $100 and $150, and are available online now.

In addition to Witcher's demo, the evening will feature a meet-and-greet with the chef, as well as a silent auction, tastings, and a cocktail reception. Several area food trucks will also be on hand to provide samples.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Dorrance H. Hamilton Center for Culinary Enterprises in West Philadelphia. Focusing on community development, the CCE supports both new and established food businesses seeking technical assistance and operating space.
