The Philadelphia Honey Festival will catch a sweet buzz this month, courtesy of Bartram's Garden, Little Baby's Ice Cream, and Art in the Age.

The trio will team up for a "Buzzed Ice Cream Social" at Bartram's Garden during the Honey Festival on Sunday, Sept. 11. from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Honey Festival itself runs Sept. 9 to Sept. 11 at multiple venues.

Little Baby's Ice Cream will debut a new, exclusive flavor at the event featuring paw-paw fruit and a dash of Bartram's Bitters. Paw-paw, a large fruit in the custard apple family, is native to North America, and is featured in Bartram's orchard.

Bartram's Bitters, meanwhile, was created by Philadelphia Distilling, which used an 1830s Bartram family recipe for the final product. However, production on any more bitters is currently on hold, with Little Baby's using the last batch for its exclusive ice cream flavor.

Art in the Age will provide root beer floats using Little Baby's ice cream and its own ROOT liqueur. Seasonal cocktails using Art in the Age's RHUBARB liqueur will also be available.

Tickets for the Buzzed Ice Cream Social run $15 for the general public, and $12 for Bartram's Garden members. Proceeds from the event will benefit the garden.
