'Klezmer Inferno' is tonight at Morgan's Pier

Solomonov will lead a team of chefs in a party to usher in July 4 festivities.

'Klezmer Inferno' is tonight at Morgan's Pier


Tonight (7/1) from 6 to 10 p.m., chef Michael Solomonov of Zahav will host "Down the Shore 4: Klezmer Inferno" (rain or shine) at Morgan’s Pier (221 N. Columbus Blvd, 215-279-7134).

His summer party has a disco theme, and the menu will feature European Jewish BBQ inspired dishes from Solomonov and eight other Philly chefs.

Price is $85 per person, plus tax, which includes all you-can-eat, bottomless beer and sangria and live music from the West Philadelphia Orchestra.

Over-the-top costumes are  encouraged such as crazy wigs, glitter, tube tops and short shorts.  Tickets are available now via this link.

Erin O’Shea of Percy Street Barbecue - pork tenderloin with grilled sweet onions

Terence Feury of Tavro 13 - "actual" crab fries (not French fries w/old bay but fries made out of crab meat), avocado mousse, preserved lemon

Nick Macri of Southwark - grilled bologna and potato salad on a Martins potato roll

Top Chef’s Jen Carroll - roasting lamb on a spit over open coals

Lucio Palazzo of La Calaca Feliz - octopus escabeche, potato garnacha

John “Chainsaw” Taus of The Corner - breakfast sausage corn dogs, jalepenos, maple dip

Peter Woolsey of Bistrot La Minette - smoked beef tongue, rye, mustard

and David Katz of Creekstone Farms - brisket chili cheeseburgers w onions

A full buffet dinner will be created and served by Solomonov and his team at Zahav, including soft-shell crab w/ almond tarator and BLT w/house made bacon.
