Cool, icy drinks and frozen yogurt are usually popular this time of year, but it doesn’t hurt to try something new for a change.

Society Hill Society, across from the shambles at Headhouse Square, is adding a different spin to its menu for its first summer: a chilled peach soup.

What’s in it? Aside from fresh peaches, the soup includes yellow bell peppers, goat cheese, champagne vinegar and Serrano ham.

In addition, Society Hill Society’s updated menu includes Amish waffles and chicken with fried egg and Lancaster white gravy.
