In celebration of Magpie’s second anniversary, proprietor Holly Ricciardi will be giving away slices of her signature Butterscotch Bourbon Pie from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m., or until supplies last, at her artisan pie boutique located at 1622 South St. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
“When I opened Magpie I wanted people to fall back in love with pie.” said Ricciardi. “We baked and served over 3,500 pies during our first year, and produced more than 5,000 pies in year two, which demonstrates Philly’s love for the decadent dessert. I’m thrilled to thank our customers and neighbors with free slices of our Butterscotch Bourbon Pie.”
Ricciardi’s hugely popular pie making classes will expand during her third year, which will continue to focus on utilizing seasonal ingredients and providing each student the opportunity to take home pies that they create.
