Free food over Labor Day weekend

The old apple-for-the-teacher gesture will get a spin from Sept. 3 through Sept. 5 at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, which will give comp apple flatbreads (above) to all teachers and school employees. Valid ID is required. The dish features Triple Springs Fruit Farm's apples, white Cheddar, candied pecans, blackberry BBQ Sauce and micro arugula atop a thin, crispy crust.

Arpeggio BYOB in Spring House (near Ambler) will mark National Cheese Pizza Day and Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 5 by honoring teachers, police officers, and firefighters with a free margarita pizza for the table during dinner, 4 to 9 p.m. Work ID is required.
