Free cake shakes at P'unk Burger

P'unk Burger (1823 E. Passyunk Ave.), will celebrate its first birthday Friday, Feb. 12 by giving away free cake shakes from 5 to 7 p.m.

P'unk, which specializes in organic burgers, fries and shakes, is partnering with Sweet Box Cupcakes (339 S. 13th St.). The free limited edition P'unk and Sweet Box collaboration is a Raspberry Red Velvet Spodee shake made with Sweet Box's signature cupcakes. (Its sauce is made with Spodee wine.)

P'unk Burger also will offer an alcohol-free option Birthday Cake Shake with buttercream, candy pieces, and cake batter ice cream.

It's one per person, dine-in only. During that 5-to-7 p.m. window,  beef burgers will be $5 each and fries will be discounted to $1. All other items are $1 off in honor of one year.

Outside of the shake giveaway, P'unk Burger also will have other specials for Valentine's Weekend, including Raspberry Red Velvet Spodee shakes available for sale on Feb. 13-14, plus Box of Chocolates shakes made with Little Baby's Ice Cream. The Alpine Burger, with sauteed portobello, swiss cheese and house garlic mayo, will debut, as well.
