Expanded hours: Fond on Sundays, Paris Bistro on Mondays

Starting Oct. 19, Fond on East Passyunk Avenue will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Sundays. It's a more casual menu, featuring smaller plates, a plat du jour, and a more family-style, comfort-food feel. Menu for Sunday, Oct. 19 is here. Small plates include a half-dozen oysters, rock-shrimp ceviche, chicken-liver mousse, and a cheese plate. Sunday's plat du jour, which includes a salad and dessert, is rabbit cacciatore ($35).

Paris Bistro in Chestnut Hill is open from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday, when it also offers oysters for a buck apiece.
