Dos Tacos’ Sylva Senat to appear on Food Network’s ‘Chopped’

Local chef Sylva Senat will return to the small screen Tuesday night as a contestant on Food Network's Chopped.

Senat, of Dos Tacos, will compete on the show's Cinco de Mayo-themed episode. According to an episode description, the competition will be based around creating dishes with a Cinco de Mayo fiesta in mind.

Back in February, Senat appeared on Bravo's Recipe for Deception, where he appeared on the show's "You're Bacon Me Crazy" episode. Senat ultimately took home a victory in that competition, along with $10,000 and some new cooking equipment.

Formerly of Tashan, Senat opened up shop at Dos Tacos while working on the seemingly ill-fated Maison 208. An arson fire last year at the restaurant's construction site set back those plans, and no opening date has been set.

Senat's episode of Chopped airs Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on Food Network.
