Philly CowShare gets on the moove

It is taking orders now for spring deliveries.

Attention carnivores: Philly CowShare is taking orders now for spring deliveries.

The cow share is just what it sounds like - a way individuals can buy grass-fed, locally-raised beef in bulk by splitting the purchase of a cow with other people. Details on cuts of meat and the costs of ordering as little as one-eighth of a cow are at Phillycowshare.com.

Meanwhile, Jessica Moore, who founded the one-of-a-kind business, will have less on her plate, so to speak, now that Megan Bucknum is joining the staff.

A contributing author to the book Reclaiming our Food: How the Grassroots Food Movement is Changing the Way We Eat (Storey Publishing, 2011), Bucknum previously worked with both the Food Trust and Fair Food Philadelphia.
