A Chester County woman is officially Nutella's biggest fan, with the purveyors of the chocolatey hazelnut spread last week naming her the reigning "Chief Nutella Ambassador."

Chrissy Eckman, a 21-year-old Savannah College of Art and Design student, recently took home the title following a contest put on by the folks at Nutella. As part of her new role, she will help host World Nutella Day this coming Friday, Feb. 5.

As Chadds Ford Live reports, Eckman submitted a video application for the position that put her among the top five applicants for the contest. Following that, a strong social media campaign centered around animated GIFs of Nutella jars helped move her to the top of the list.

Since taking the position as Chief Nutella Ambassador, Eckman has filmed several New York-based promotional videos for the coming World Nutella Day. As part of her win, the Nutella folks treated her and a companion to a weeklong stay in the Big Apple, where they filmed promotional materials during the day, and explored the city at night.

Beyond her new title, Eckman will also reportedly receive a full year's supply of Nutella, as well as an engraved knife with which to dish it out.

No word yet, however, on how long Eckman's term as Nutella-in-Chief will last.
