Atlantic City Food Truck Festival returns June 3 and 4

Chefs Brian Duffy and Meghan Gill will headline the second annual Atlantic City Food Truck Festival on June 3 and 4 at Brighton Park, between the Claridge Hotel and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Duffy, chef/partner at Brewerytown's Flying Fish Crafthouse, and Gill, executive chef at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars, will lead cooking demonstrations and the judging for the festival's grand champion. Winner will receive a $500 cash prize sponsored and presented by Kimmie Shurig (aka Kimmie Kocktail) of SNJ Today’s radio show 2 Chicks and a Chef.

Hours will be noon to 8 p.m. June 3 and noon to 6 p.m. June 4. Admission is free, as food and drinks are pay-as-you-go.

It benefits the Community Food Bank of NJ and ACVets.org.

Among trucks will be Nick's Roast Beef, The Empanda Guy, Dump N Roll, Mama’s Meatballs, Mad Dog Morgan’s, and Wahlburgers. There will be music in the park, kids activities, and an outdoor wine, beer and spirits garden.

Duffy's demo starts at 1 p.m. June 3, and Gill's will follow at 2 p.m. with the assistance of culinary students from Atlantic Cape Community College.

Demonstrations will start at noon by chef Michael D’Angelo, wine expert Vincent Sacco, and Anna Ormond of 2 Chicks and a Chef. The public can vote for a people's choice award, whose prize is $250.
