Blogger KellyBakes spent some time working in a certain joint that makes doughnuts and fried chicken.

Try as she might, she could not replicate the doughnuts.

But she tried again, incorporating Troegs Mad Elf, a beer that is a now a touch out of season.

Her recipe for honey doughnuts is adapted from an Epicurious recipe. The combination of cherry and honey in the glaze adds another dimension, she writes.
