A first: Lolita starts lunch

In its 10-plus years on 13th Street, the Mexican restaurant Lolita has been open for dinner only.

Starting Wednesday, Aug. 27, it adds lunch Monday to Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

In April, owners Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran brought the restaurant back after an extensive renovation that included a new liquor license, 16-seat bar and chef's counter looking into the open kitchen.

The lunch menu (here) includes new dishes, including salads, burritos and tacos.
