The Young Friends of Rittenhouse Square, who work on the landmark square's upkeep, are launching an annual wine-pairing dinner as a fund-raiser.

And they're having the first four-course meal on Thursday, Feb. 20 - not at some Rittenhouse bistro but on the other side of Broad Street, in Washington Square West, at the Farm and Fisherman (1120 Pine St.).

There will be seatings at 5:30 p.m. ($95) and 8:30 p.m. ($135) with 30 guests per seating. Price includes Rioja wines, dinner, tax and gratuity. Tickets are available here.

The tentative menu calls for a first course of Bloody Beet Steak or New Jersey fluke crudo; a second course of gnocchi or wild boar fleishnecka; a main course of braised short rib oir herb-crusted speckled sea trout or cauliflower steak; with chocolate gianduja or cheesecake for dessert.
