To those who are convinced that only women care about the right to privacy, that only atheists respect religious freedom and that only Democrats fought for civil rights, here’s an illuminating commentary from Rep. Allan West. It’s particularly fitting, during Black History Month.

Magistra says, "Instead of having a contest of who is the more or less racist among us, let's turn to the solutions."

So, Magistra, are your willing to do your part to help the cause? To drop the flag on anyone who posts ad homimen, racist, bigot leaning posts?

Or do you just want to dance on a soap box, take a bow and leave?

It takes more than words to plead a cause. It also takes courage.

It is indeed time to smoke the peace pipe or to point out those who do not and then snicker and giggle with their pals.

Let us indeed begin.

Magistra, I just took a moment to have a coffee, give it some thought and I am in.

No need for a referee. Posts with opinion and supporting facts will be self evident.

What more can a referee do? Nothing.

Opposition to posts with slurs and the like can be worded politely without combative slurs and just as effectively as any other way.

Magistra, you rock. I wish I had you in the 5th grade.

Christine's first sentence "To those who are convinced that only...." I never met anyone who thought the things on that list. Where and who are they?

prenestino, you need to get out more often. I have met people like that many times, many places. The work place is one place where they thrive. Those spouting Democrat talking points is another place. You can meet them at the bus stop.

But the real issue presented in this BLOG is the commentary by Rep. Allen West. And that would be a better place for you to focus your remarks. No malice intended, prenestino, just a few helpful suggestions.
