Fred says it best

When a reader trumps the columnist

Fred says it best

As predicted, a number of people were angered at my column last week regarding Peter King’s hearings on radicalization in Muslim communities, particularly with respect to the indoctrination that takes place in certain mosques.   Normally, I do try and respond to the less outrageous commentators on my op-eds, as my good friend Stu noted with characteristic humor this morning in his own exceptional column.  But after reading some of the observations of people who throw the word “McCarthyism” and “hypocrisy” around as red herrings (so as to deflect attention from their inability to make cogent arguments based on actual facts,) I decided that this would be an exercise in futility.

And then I got this email from my good friend Fred, who forwarded me a copy of a letter he’d sent to a New York columnist who had a slightly different perspective on the true perpetrators of terror.   It is brilliant stuff, and needs to be read by anyone who is not blinded by political correctness:

Dear Mr. Daly:
