President Morgan Freeman in Deep Impact, a movie title that well describes the reaction to President Obama's and Rev. Lowery's eloquence today.

As hopeful is the antonym of hopeless, so speechless' opposite is speechful.

During the inauguration proceedings, I've never heard a newsroom so quiet. A John Cage-like silence punctuated by the Zen sound of tears rolling down cheeks.

Speechful.

Lowery used the phrase "..when white will embrace what is right". Yes, telling and entire race of people they've done wrong, and have yet to embrace what's right really gets the tears rolling. Hopeless.

I didn't interpret it that way. Nor did I interpret his saying "when yellow will be mellow" carried an implication that Asian-Americans were tense and uptight. He was creating an image of harmony and happiness; I'm sorry you heard it as one of criticism of the past.
