Real-life ‘Rick and Morty’ Rickmobile coming to Philly this month

Get schwifty, Philly — Rick and Morty is coming to town.

The Adult Swim show will bring its “Don’t Even Trip Road Trip” tour to South Street’s Tattooed Mom on Tuesday, May 23. And it’ll ride into town in the “Rickmobile” — a truck converted to look like titular character Rick Sanchez, a deranged, alcoholic genius (and Morty’s grandpa).

This, however, isn’t the first time one of the show’s character has crossed over into the automotive world. Morty, as Rick revealed in season two of the show, is capable of turning into a sedan at will:

The Rickmobile, Nerdist notes, will carry exclusive Rick and Morty merchandise, though what exactly will be available is not yet clear. Though a T-shirt promoting the tour is currently available online, so think the usual swag.

The tour kicked off May 7 in Los Angeles and will run through 40 cities before concluding at New York Comic Con Oct. 8. The Adult Swim crew is currently documenting the tour on social media.

Fans, meanwhile, have been charting the Rickmobile’s progress online:

Season three of Rick and Morty premiered unofficially on April 1 this year; the episode airing several times on Adult Swim as part of the network’s annual April Fool’s Day prank. As Den of Geek reports, the season will officially premiere sometime this summer.
