So they shut down Hollywood Boulevard on Monday night while Paul McCartney serenaded the people. The cover story was an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! But then Sir Pauley ventured out on the boulevard where 10,000 people thronged in expectation.

Kimmel showed only a couple of songs on the show: McCartney’s latest single, “New” and this barrelhouse “Lady Madonna” (see video).

But those numbers came in the middle of a rich 15-song program that started with “Magical Mystery Tour” and ended with “Back in the U.S.S.R.”, “Day Tripper”,”Let It Be” and “Hey Jude”.

You can still see the entire concert from last night streaming on Myspace by clicking here.
