Snoop is about to go “upside ya head” in a whole new way.

Calvin Broadus Jr., the rapper formerly known as Snoop Dogg and currently Snoop Lion, has been tapped to record the theme song for the revived and revamped One Life to Live.

Yes, you read that right. The chronic smoker of chronic has written a song, “Brand New Start” that will usher in each episode of the soap. We have a feeling this will sound a little different than your usual string syrupy soap themes.

We’re talking about the post-modern One Life to Live of course. The soap makes its official transition from broadcast to the internet on April 29. You can view the show on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes or stream it online. (All My Children will relaunch in similar fashion on that day. One adjustment: both shows will be reduced to a half hour.)

Snoop has also agreed to make appearances as himself. Can’t wait to see how they blend him into Llanview, the soap’s setting which has always presumably been a town on Philadelphia’s Main Line.

Another bizarre addition to One Life, which ran for more than 40 years on ABC, is JWoww. Yeah, you read that right too. Jennifer Farley, pka JWoww, of Jersey Shore infamy, will recur as a maneating bartender at Shelter, a new nightclub in Llanview.

There go the property values.

Well, the show had to grab some splashy headlines since most of the coverage this week has been about the permanent relocation of OLTL stars Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson to ABC’s General Hospital.

Ah well, we’ll always have Erika Slezak.
