Fox isn’t scheduled to announce its series orders for next fall until Monday (the same day NBC is revealing its hand).

But why stand on ceremony? The network that The Simpsons built has jumped in the water first. (This is how you get headlines, boys and girls.)

Fox is going into next season with five new sitcoms and four new dramas.

Here are the recruits (comedies first):

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg as a rather apathetic detective and Andre Braugher (Hack) as his spit-and-polish commanding officer. From some of the folks who bring us Parks and Recreation.

Us & Them is not funny version of the Pink Floyd song. It’s an adaptation of the delightful British comedy, Gavin and Stacey. Alexis Bedel (Gilmore Girls) and Jason Ritter (Parenthood) are a couple falling in love. But the path to true romance is constantly disrupted by their meddlesome families and friends.

Dads is the first live-action comedy from Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy). Overbrook Park’s Seth Green (Old Dogs) and Giovanni Ribisi (Contraband) are pals who have life knocked – until their fathers (Martin Mull and Peter Riegert) move in with them. Courtesy of the Ted team.

Enlisted stars Geoff Stults (Ben and Kate) as one of three brothers getting reacquainted as buck privates on a tiny and bizarre Army base. Sgt. Bilko, reporting for duty.

Surviving Jack stars Chris Meloni (Law & Order: SVU) as an ‘80s dad trying to usher his son through his hormonal teens. From the braintrust behind $#*! My Dad Says.

On to the dramas.

Almost Human stars Karl Urban (Judge Dredd) in a futuristic cop drama in which a human reluctantly teams with an android to crack cases. Prolific producer J.J. Abrams is at the helm for this action hour, whose title may change by September.

Rake stars Greg Kinnear (Flash of Genius), making his network debut, as a brilliant defense attorney beset with abundant personal demons. From the Australian series of the same name. Sounds like Robbie Coltrane's great  TV character from Cracker.

Gang Related is an action hour with Emmy winner Terry O’Quinn (Lost) as the chief of L.A.P.D.’s Gang Task Force. Ramon Rodriguez and Wu-Tanger Rza take on the city’s most vicious gangs.

Sleepy Hollow stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane. But this ain’t the Washington Irving ghost tale. Old Ich is brought back 250 years after he first rode. He’s humanity’s last hope in a world teetering on extinction. From the Fringe fellas.

Which of these intrigues you most? Least?
