They're closing up shop at 'The Firm'

NBC announced today that it is moving its low-rated legal drama The Firm to Saturday nights. That’s TV talk for “You’re fired.” The network will burn off the remaining episodes and be done. Well, even after the show is cancelled and forgotten, they’ll probably still be paying John Grisham for the right to use his title well into the next decade.

The move was hardly a surprise. Last night The Firm drew only 3 million viewers and notched a bulimic 0.8 rating in the adult (18-49) demographic. For the next few weeks, the slot will be assumed by repeats of Grimm.

Beginning on March 1, NBC will turn over Thursdays at 10 p.m. to a new series, Awake, starring Jason Isaacs. Intriguing premise. Check out the trailer which explains it far better than I ever could.

I thought 'The Firm' was halfway decent although not totally polished. Still watchable and entertaining in spots.
I already know what happens in the finale of awake. Guy wakes up from a coma and finds out both his wife and son are dead(or alive if enough women are watching.).

Yet another show with an English/Australian/Scottish actor playing an American ("House," "Without A Trace," Kevin McKidd on "Grey's Anatomy," "Unforgettable," "The Mentalist"). Is it really that tough to find American actors to play these parts?

I thought this show is a fantastic show and my whole family loves it and looks forward to it every week. Please do not take this off the air. All of my friends I have showed it to love it! I believe the problem is not enough people saw the pilot and it is difficult to get interested during the middle. This show is fantastic and super suspenseful and I think the actors are awesome! I have spent over an hour now looking for somewhere to say this and made an account specifically for this reason because I don't want to see this show come to an end. I honestly don't know how it is getting bad ratings I love it. I am only a thirteen year old boy also. Please at least give it another chance for the viewers who have been hooked from the beginning and would hate to see it off air so quickly.

Its not so much I can't stand that Hollywood keeps re-treading these tired movies and doing theatrical or TV remakes out of sheer laziness. What bothers me most is people actually get to make a good living, and have a nice life for themselves and family based on concepts like this

This season for the first time in many years the networks have produced several amazing series. The Firm is one of the few series that I watch on television. It's difficult to understand why this series would be cancelled. I refuse to watch any of the reality series or talent shows currently running. Very sorry to lose one of the new programs that I view!!!!
