Gordon Ramsay returns to Amy’s Baking Company for ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ season premiere

Gordon Ramsay’s trip to Amy’s Baking Company in Scottsdale, AZ last year marked the first time the all-star chef couldn’t help a business. In fact, they’re still so bad that they were named one of the worst businesses of 2013 earlier this month. Now, though, Ramsay is going to make another trip back into Crazytown for Kitchen Nightmares sixth season premiere.

Since the Amy’s Baking Company episode premiered in March of last year, owner Amy Bouzlago’s life has virtually been in shambles. First, there was the social media influx from enraged viewers, then the Yelp reviews. After that, the Reddit AMA from a former ABC waitress popped up, co-owner Samy Bouzlago get hit with a possible deportation, and Radar Online leaked an extremely stringent employee contract. After that, ABC seems to have vanished from the internet, save for the “worst business” award mentioned above.

The bakery had it’s grand re-opening following the Kitchen Nightmares episode in May 2013, but it doesn’t look like things have gotten better—hence the need for Ramsay’s return. And, given that the show is a two-parter, ABC no doubt required a little more work to get it up and running, Ramsey style.

So, while it was nice to take some time off from the Bouzlago’s particular brand of crazy, it looks like the time for a return is neigh. Kitchen Nightmares will premiere its sixth season on Feb. 28.
