'Donald Trump' gets Comedy Central show

The President Show
Anthony Atamanuik will perform his impersonation of Donald J. Trump on Comedy Central's "The President Show," starting April 27

He may have traded Celebrity Apprentice for the White House, but President Trump will soon have a show again.

Sort of.

Comedy Central on Monday announced the April 27 launch of The President Show, a new weekly series in which actor and comedian Anthony Atamanuik (30 Rock, Broad City) will host as Donald  J. Trump. Episodes will debut at 11:30 p.m. Thursdays and be available online the next day at cc.com/thepresidentshow.

"Laughing at the president is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department,” Atamanuik said in a prepared statement. "But our political system is too broken for us to be content joking about one man, even though he is a disastrous silly little toddler boy. Mostly I’d just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we’re lucky, end up in prison!"
