Four years after his brutal assault on Rihanna, Chris Brown is on a mission to prove he's a changed man.

The artist sat with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show Monday morning to discuss his pending album and clear the air regarding a topic of greater interest to fans and critics: His rekindled romance with Rihanna.

"I've been humbled by the whole experience," he told Lauer. "Knowing that what I did was totally wrong and having to kind of deal with myself and kind of forgive myself in the same breath and being able to apologize to, you know, Rihanna and be that man that can be who is a man. You know?" Breezy confirmed to Lauer that he and Rihanna are still a couple after a misconstrued interview with Power 106 last Friday surfaced and fueled rumors that the two were off again.

The R&B singer, who after the 2009 assault underwent a yearlong violence counseling program, reassured Lauer that he would "absolutely" never hit Rihanna again.

Watch the full interview, below.

I'm sure Lauer used this interview as a racist smear attack against Brown.

I am not sure who is more stupid... thug Chris Brown, desperate Rihanna or goofy Matt Lauer
