Dean’s temporary cohosting duties on the Daytime Emmy Award-winning program will take place at 2 p.m. April 26. The anchor’s appearance is part of a series next month in which five local CBS anchors from around the country will guest cohost.
Dean, who co-anchors Eyewitness News alongside Washington at the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. hours on CBS3 and at 10 p.m. on The CW Philly 57, has been with the station since 2013. A Little Rock, Ark., native, Dean arrived in Philadelphia that year following a stint at KARK-TV, an NBC affiliate her home town where she began working in 2011, according to her biography on the CBS3 website.
Now, Dean will sit alongside regular The Talk hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood. Her own cohost, Ukee Washington, has cohosted the show several times, most recently in July 2016.
Dean’s cohosting gig isn’t the only news from CBS3. Five viewers will also win trips to Los Angeles and tickets to The Talk to see Dean do her thing in a sweepstakes dubbed “The Talk Anchors Away.” Fans can enter the sweepstakes by posting a positive comment about why they love The Talk on the program’s Facebook page.
The contest, a release notes, will close April 3; one Philly winner will be chosen and receive a trip to Los Angeles, a three-day/two-night hotel stay, a ride to the show, tickets, and a swag bag.
Dean, meanwhile, noted on Twitter on Monday that she is “excited to be headed to LA” to cohost The Talk, and shared a link to the contest:
